About the Trust

Redcar and Cleveland Children and Young People's Trust brings together representatives from a range of organisations working for the benefit of children and young people across the borough including the police, schools, NHS, council, voluntary and community sector, youth offending and probation services, Learning and Skills Council and Local Safeguarding Children Board.
The Trust is one of the Priority Groups which underpin Redcar and Cleveland Local Strategic Partnership. It aims to ensure organisations
work together, and with children and young people, to both identify and address how the lives of children and young people can be made happy, healthy, safe and fulfilled in line with the requirements of the five Every Child Matters outcomes of:


The Trust supports and provides strategic direction to people who work every day with children, young people and their families to ensure children and young people experience integrated and responsive services.

Redcar and Cleveland Children and Young People'sTrust will:
  • Establish a vision for all Children and Young People in Redcar and Cleveland;
  • Ensure the right services are offered at the right time and in the places that are easiest for children and young people and families to get to wherever possible and
  • Ensure that the voices of children, young people and their families are heard and acted upon when planning services.
