Working Together

There is lots of excellent work happening across Redcar and Cleveland to enable people in different organisations to work more closely together. Working together is essential in ensuring that children, young people and families are able to access help and support more easily and do not have to tell their stories to several different workers in different services.
Working together means professionals in different organisations working in a more integrated way. The term integration can have different meanings for different people. In Redcar and Cleveland the following local definition of integration has been agreed:

"A service hub for the community by bringing together a range of services, where practitioners work in a multi-professional way to deliver integrated support to children, young people and families. It is made up of a range of services that share a common location and a common philosophy, vision and agreed principles for working with children and families"

This will be achieved through the introduction of Integrated Processes, which will mean professionals in different organisations working in the same way, and through the move towards Integrated Locality Services, which will bring professionals from different organisations together into a service hub for the local community.
